Department of Microbiology
Department of Microbiology initiated M.Sc. in Microbiology in 2010 under the aegis of Dept. of Zoology, UCOS (old campus of university), currently it is now located in Vigyan Bhawan Block B with Biotechnology (MLSU new campus). The Department aims to impart quality education in the field of Microbiology and to update the knowledge of students with the advanced techniques. The department offers Ph.D. in Microbiology with research areas namely Applied Microbiology, Food quality & safety etc. The department has research projects funded by UGC, RUSA etc. Department has two patents, several publications in International and National reputed journals along with book chapters.
